How can the system be used with new development?

Manhole chimneys pose a significant problem when new roadways are built. The manhole structures must be navigated around by equipment as the soil is compacted, the stone is compacted, the first and second layer of asphalt is laid.

Despite best efforts, the chimneys are rarely level with the final road surface and slow the paving process significantly. The end result with traditional processes is undesireable as commonly the manhole frames are not level with the road and unsightly.

With the Mr. Manhole System, a slotted steel plate is laid over the manhole cone. The steel plate is pinned to the cone to avoid movement during the grading process.

The soil and stone is graded and the first and second layer of asphalt is laid over the plate.

After the construction of the roadway is completed,
the steel plate is located and the Mr. Manhole System
is used to quickly remove the roadway above the cone
and rebuild the chimney prefectly level with the road.
